If you have lived on this side of the 50 for more than a couple of years, you already know Cameron Park Drive was built for errands, not evenings. Coach Lane got the grocery traffic. The lake got the weekend crowd. The Drive itself was where you filled a tank and kept moving.
That is quietly no longer true. Between April 2025 and this summer, three of the most-passed storefronts on Cameron Park Drive have turned over, a Wednesday market at Burke Junction has settled into its 2026 season, and the CSD's calendar at the lake keeps adding weight to the fall. String those together and you have a full week of things to do without ever crossing Bass Lake Road.
The one-road week
Here is the shape of it, if you want a template for the next month:
- Wednesday morning at the Cameron Park Certified Farmers' Market, 3300 Coach Ln, Cameron Park, 8 am to noon, in the Burke Junction lot at Coach and Strolling Hills.
- Thursday through Saturday afternoon at Moirae Brewing's taproom, tucked behind Nina's Taqueria on Cameron Park Drive.
- Friday night or Saturday lunch at the new Habit drive-thru if you want a quick stop, or Papa Gianni's, Snooty Frog, or Crafthouse Culture if you want a table.
- Sunday morning on the lake loop before it warms up.
None of that existed as a coherent week two summers ago. The pieces have arrived one at a time, and most residents I talk to are still running an older mental map.
Moirae took the brewery slot, and it is not a like-for-like swap
Moirae Brewing Company opened in mid-April at 2650 Cameron Park Drive, Suite 370, the former site of Camerado Brewing Co., which had served the community since 2022 before concluding operations. If you have driven past the Nina's Taqueria plaza and assumed the brewery is just under new paint, it is worth a second look.
Co-owner Zach Grinnell is a Certified Cicerone and a Certified Beer Judge through the BJCP, and co-owner Ariela Grinnell spent seven years at Cisco leading customer experience redesign teams before turning to the brewery full time. The name comes from Greek mythology, the three sisters of fate, and mirrors the owners' three daughters.
Practically, this means the pour list rotates faster than most residents expect from a neighborhood taproom, and the hours are wider than the previous tenant's. The taproom is closed Monday and Tuesday, open Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 8 pm, and Sunday from noon to 6 pm. If you have been treating Cameron Park as a weekend-only beer town and driving to Placerville or Folsom on a Thursday, that habit is now optional.
A quick note for parents: this is a taproom, not a full kitchen. Nina's Taqueria is one door away, and Moirae is friendly to food brought in from next door. That combination is doing more heavy lifting for weeknight dinners than any single new restaurant would.
Cameron Park Drive is turning into a food corridor
The brewery is one of three tenant changes on the Drive worth tracking together. Read them as isolated news items and they are small. Read them as a corridor plan and the pattern is obvious.

The Habit opening is the one that changes commute patterns the most. Habit Burger & Grill's Cameron Park restaurant is located at 3959 Cameron Park Drive, with public service starting Wednesday, July 9, 2025. The location runs 10:30 am to 10 pm daily, which is a longer window than most fast-casual spots on this stretch and covers both the after-school pickup hour and the post-lake dinner rush.
None of these are destination restaurants for someone driving in from Folsom. They are convenience for residents, which is the point. When three chain-and-craft tenants change hands inside eighteen months on the same road, the road itself has been re-tenanted.
For a sit-down night out, the anchors are still what they were. Yelp's current Cameron Park roster leads with Papa Gianni's Ristorante, Thai House, Snooty Frog, Rey Mimosa Breakfast and Lunch, China City Restaurant, Yummy Dumplings, Park's Gyro and Shawarma Grill, and The Breakroom, and the "hip new" search adds Crafthouse Culture, Moonraker Millhouse, Cameron Park Coffee & Deli, and Burning Barrel Brewing and Spirits to the same short list. The mix on the Drive is finally catching up to that Coach Lane density.
The Wednesday market is the piece most people underuse
The Cameron Park Certified Farmers' Market sits in the Burke Junction lot, and it is easier to fold into a work-from-home Wednesday than a Saturday drive to Historic Folsom. The El Dorado County Certified Farmers' Markets organization lists the Cameron Park Community Center location running from May 22, 2026 through October 2026, with the Burke Junction morning market operating on the same Wednesday, 8 to noon window residents know.
Two practical points that get lost in generic market write-ups:
- The lot is small enough that vendors and shoppers recognize each other by week three. Ask about the tomatoes at the Certified Farmers' Market stall, not the grocery store, if you want the answer to the Placerville-vs-Camino question this year.
- Wednesday timing means you can pair it with a Moirae afternoon opening at noon, or a Habit lunch, without a second trip out of the house.
For a fuller regional swing on other days, the same organization runs the El Dorado Hills Community Center market year-round at 1021 Harvard Way, and the Placerville Regal Cinema lot from May 2 to October 24, 2026. Cameron Park sits in the middle of that triangle, which is the sort of small logistical fact that only matters when you actually live here.
The lake loop is the anchor, and the entry policy is worth re-reading
Cameron Park Lake offers a full range of outdoor activities, and the 1.1-mile walking path circles the shoreline for a peaceful strolling or jogging route through the seasons. If you have been here more than a season, you know the loop. What has shifted is the access policy people keep forgetting.
Entrance fees are charged year-round to fund ongoing maintenance, and the entrance fee applies to any vehicle entering the park, including those using the Disc Golf Course, at $5.50 per vehicle, credit card only, or included with an Annual Pass. The annual pass math starts to work in your favor around the seventh visit, which is easier to hit than most residents estimate once you count summer swim mornings, disc golf rounds, and fall walking laps.
One caveat if you walk a dog. Dogs are not permitted at this park, except for service animals. There is no soft version of that rule. The neighborhood streets between Country Club Drive and Cambridge Road are the standard workaround.
The fall calendar is worth blocking now
The CSD's own framing is useful here. Cameron Park Community Services District has been building new Community Partnerships for 2026 with local businesses, philanthropic organizations, and community champions to deliver some of the region's most anticipated events. The two dates that residents ask about first:
- Summer Spectacular, the lake fireworks night. It is Cameron Park's biggest community celebration of the year, a day of food, festivities, and a fireworks finale that brings families and neighbors out for a true community tradition. Wristbands sell at the Cameron Park Community Center at 2502 Country Club Drive, Monday through Friday 9 am to 4:30 pm, and at Forklift Cameron Park at 3333 Coach Lane.
- Thunder in the Park, the Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber classic car show. The annual show adds food trucks, vendor booths, music, raffle prizes, T-shirts, and trophies for class winners at Cameron Park Lake, 2989 Cambridge Road.
If you have kids in the CPCSD youth programs, the fall activity guide is where the smaller weekly events live. It is the piece of the calendar most out-of-district visitors miss entirely and most residents underuse.
Why any of this matters for how you use your own address
The reason to pay attention to a tenant turnover on Cameron Park Drive, a Wednesday market at Burke Junction, and a fee policy at the lake is that they are the ingredients of a week that stays inside the 95682. Two years ago, that week required a drive to Folsom or El Dorado Hills for at least one meal or errand. It no longer does.
